CT based Ship Owners and Operators require a qualified IT Manager to support the US office HQ. This will be the first IT position that the US company will fill, so you will need a strong blend of exceptional organizational skills along with IT Support and Technical knowledge.
We are looking for an independent, level-headed, trustworthy and proactive person that thrives in a teamwork environment.You will liase with directors, administrators and company officers frequently, so professionalism is of utmost importance to us. One of the primary duties will be to manage and integrate the US headquarters office with overseas operations and report back to our IT Team Leaders that are based in Singapore and London.
Some basic duties will require:
• Providing desktop/PC support to end users & remote users
• Troubleshooting network set up and/or configuration
• Installation & maintenance of hardware & software
• Schedule and co-ordinate any IT related request with the end users
• Backup for UK IT for remote support
• May be required to travel to vessels for system setup
• May be required to travel to Employee Home for system setup/maintenance
We utilize Cisco VOIP Phones and Unity Express (UC5200) which will upgrade to a Call Manager.
Will be required to manage the technical support/programming and supervision.
Qualifications and experience:
* Good understanding of MS AD, Exchange, Citrix, SAN, Cisco, VMW-added advantage
* Strong technical background in Windows / Office troubleshooting
* Experience in Veritas backup, AD, Exchange preferred
* 2-3 years work experience in system support (OS, Hardware, Microsoft applications & network cabling, etc.)
Work hours are from 8AM to approximately 5:30PM (we are a pretty consistent professional group). Schedule flexibility is required.
